SailMaine is CLOSED in observance of Juneteenth
Juneteenth is a federal holiday in the United States commemorating the emancipation of enslaved African-Americans. It is also often observed for celebrating African-American culture. Originating in Galveston, Texas, it has been celebrated annually on June 19 in various parts of the United States since 1865.

Maiden Maine - Women's Sailing Day
When: June 11th From 9:30am to 4:30PM
This is a full day of sailing for women interested in sailing in the area. There will be two sessions with 20 participants in each session and a lunch that both groups of participants are invited to attend. The morning session is from 9:30am to 12:30pm, then lunch from 12:30pm to 1:30pm and finally the second session from 1:30 to 4:30pm.
Every participant will be paired with an experienced sailor, so no experience is necessary. Each participant will be put in the best boat for their skill level either a smaller 420 or larger J22. SailMaine will provide participants with all the needed gear including lifejackets. Lunch is provided.
Each participant should plan to wear comfortable clothing so they are able to move easily. Close toed shoes are recommended. Waterbottles and sunscreen are helpful but we will have them if you don’t bring them.
