Falmouth High School Sailing Team

The Falmouth High School Sailing Team is a member of the New England Schools Sailing Association (NESSA), a division of the Inter-Scholastic Sailing Association (ISSA).  The Yachtsmen have a strong sailing record and have participated in several regional and national Regattas.

All interested students from Falmouth High School, who have had some racing experience, are welcome as team members. High School sailing is one of the few school sports where girls and boys can compete with each other on equal terms. The FHS Sailing Team practices at SailMaine three days a week. SailMaine provides 24 Collegiate 420 class sailboats, 10 J 22 keelboats, access to the water, coaching, equipment, scholarships, and facilities. Teams will practice together and in collaborative skill groups with sailors from other teams. Sailors will be checked out at the beginning of the season and sailors with less racing experience may practice with the SailMaine Development Team.
