REGATTA HIGHLIGHTS:
Sunny with temperatures in the 60's made for a great day of racing and
watching. The seawall was crowded all day.
Wind started south (5-7kts) but moved to the southwest sea breeze (7-1o kts)
by 1 pm.
Many thanks to Chris Conley and the Tabor sailing team for their great race
management.
Modified triangles and gold cup course were run.
Thanks as well to Chief Judge Ron Hopkins, and Judges Carol Barrow, Dick
Gumpert, and Mary Pierce.
Four protests were heard resulting in 3 DSQs.
Congratulations to those schools that made the finals for the first time
(Dennis-Yarmouth RHS, Lincoln-Sudbury RHS,
and Cape Elizabeth HS). Also congratulations to the top five schools who
will represent NESSA at the
ISSA Fleet Racing Championship (Mallory Trophy) in Long Beach, CA May 12-13,
2007.
