There's no one better suited than Michael to be the Executive Director of SailMaine. He's been sailing since he could walk.... or maybe before! He grew up in Biddeford Pool, Maine, and has been the captain of a college sailing team, a sailing instructor, a sailing coach, and now he sails competitively more weeks than not, and competes in regattas in Maine and nationally.
Kim has spent more time on a windsurfer sailing in warmer waters than on a sailboat in Casco Bay, but after taking lessons at SailMaine a few years ago she fell in love with sailing. She grew up Downeast in Eastport, and loves all things Maine. Especially the ocean.
Bill is a Maine native, growing up in Bethel and skiing competitively at Sunday River while spending summers sailing Optis, Lasers, 420s, and Rhodes 18s in Biddeford Pool. After graduating from the University of Southern Maine, he spent a year teaching English in Hanoi, Vietnam before living in the mountains of Colorado and Wyoming. Fortunately for SailMaine, the ocean called him back to Maine.
