SailMaine Annual Appeal

Please give to help keep sailing an option for all.
Horizontal Line

This year's appeal is within $6,000 of our $45,000 goal.

Please help us reach the anchorage with a contribution today.

We are southern Maine's only community sailing organization, dedicated to making the enjoyment of our waters under sail accessible to all. 40% of our funding comes from community support through individual and corporate donations that make our scholarship programs for youth and low programming fees possible. Won't you contribute to keeping sailing an affordable option for you and your neighbors possible?

You can support SailMaine through these secure Google Wallet links. If you prefer to send a check, please mail it to SailMaine, 58 Fore Street, Portland, Maine 04101. We're also glad to accept your donation by credit card over the phone at (207) 772-SAIL, or here at the office on the waterfront. Thank you.

SailMaine is an organization that relies on volunteer assistance to ensure our programs operate as they should. Anyone who has time and interest can volunteer with a SailMaine program: sailing experience is not always a requirement. If you'd like to pitch in, tell us a bit about yourself by filling out this form (PDF). You'll need to have Acrobat Reader 8 or later installed on your machine to read or submit the form online. Get Acrobat Reader here.

Volunteers are particularly needed in the following areas:

  • Coaching
  • Fundraising
  • Site staffing
  • Regatta organization
  • Regatta housing
  • Race Committee work
  • Summer Program organization
  • High School team transportation
  • Boat maintenance
  • Towing Site construction & upkeep
  • Event organization
  • Event staffing
  • Promotion

We continue to pursue new chances to grow the sport, and we hope you will continue to support our programs and facilities. Any level of giving is most gratefully appreciated.
