The third annual SailMaine Soiree on Saturday, October 16, brought over 200 supporters together at the Portland Marine Complex for an evening of fun and fundraising. People of all ages -- some sailors, some not -- enjoyed the sounds of jazz band Swing Shift, delicious hors d’oeuvres donated by Bull Feeney’s, and a fantastic silent auction, which raised over $5,000! A focal point of the evening for many was a stop at the entertaining photo booth, where many expressed their “goofy” side (check out the SailMaine Facebook page for evidence!).
All told, SailMaine supporters raised nearly $15,000 to help fund SailMaine programs. Thanks to the sailors, sponsors, volunteers, and generous attendees and donors, who all made the Soiree a great success in 2010.
