Boat Parade of Lights

he lights are aglow on Portland Harbor with this annual event led by Casco Bay Lines. Commercial and pleasure craft bedecked in holiday finery greet the coming winter with a boat parade in Portland's inner harbor, led by
one of CBL's fleet of ferry boats. A majority of the proceeds benefit the community sailing programs of SailMaine. 
Tickets are $8.00, children under 5 ride free. Tickets are available at Casco Bay Lines, (207) 774-7871.
The boat departs at 4:30 p.m. from Maine State Pier, and the parade begins at 4:45 p.m. 2010 was a lot of fun. Plan to come along in 2011, enjoy the holiday ride, and support community sailing in the bargain.
