Many thanks to all who participated in the 1st Annual Corporate Challenge Regatta. It was a beautiful day for racing SailMaine’s Ynglings in Casco Bay. Five teams completed four races, thanks to Principal Race Officer Win Fowler and mark boat captain John Milburn. Sunshine and smiles were prevalent on the race course, which made raising $3,000 for SailMaine's programs even sweeter.
We thank Andrew Stern and Peter Price for their initiative in developing this event, and their energy in promoting its success. We also appreciate John Milburn for joining us on the committee.
Most of all, we're grateful to our sponsors for their contributions – their generosity covered most expenses. Nearly all of the money raised will directly support SailMaine's community sailing programming. Participants enjoyed Geary’s beer, oysters from Cabin Cove Oysters and a delicious BBQ put together by RBC Wealth Management. We also appreciate ARTIPLAQ, who donated the participation awards, and AGA Correa for creating a beautiful Perpetual Trophy for the winners to proudly display in their reception area! What a fantastic event – we hope more will join us next year!
