Pam Thomas took some great shots of today's action you can see here. Thanks, Pam and the Frosty Jugs team!

UPDATED 10/27/2008
We're underway! Racing started Sunday, October 26th in a flukey dying West-Northwest breeze that shifted to a sea breeze late in the day. The OOD, Andrew Carey and his Sneezy, Wheezy, and Grumpy stalwarts were challenged to set the course for two races with a tide-limited time for being on the water. A fearsome current also presented some challenges to the fleet. Results are here. See you all next Sunday!

This year's edition of the Casco Bay Frostbite Series could have some format changes, depending on the number of registrations we receive. If fourteen teams register, we are prepared to run two flights, one racing Saturdays and one racing Sundays. If fewer than fourteen teams register, we will open the series to nine teams using all eight boats. Teams will be considered registered when the Team Captain's registration has been received and the entry fee for the team has been paid. All team members must complete registration forms before they sail. Team slots will be awarded on a first come first served basis. In the event that more than nine, but fewer than fourteen teams subscribe, the entry fee will be refunded to the tenth plus teams.

For a nine team series, racing will begin Sunday, October 26th. For a fourteen team series, racing will begin Saturday, November 1st. Racing will conclude Sunday, December 21 for both series. There may be no series racing Saturday, November 8th in order to conduct a special fund raising event at SailMaine. In that event, a pro-rated refund for the affected teams will be available upon request.

Deadline for registrations is Friday October 17th. Final boat, RC, Launch, and Social assignments will be made by Friday, October 24th. Interested parties should subscribe to the Frostbite Mailing List by clicking here and following the instructions on the listserver page. Topical information regarding the series will be distributed on the list. The list archives can be viewed by subscribers here.

Sailors can register by completing this form. It may be filled out and submitted by e-mail using Adobe Acrobat Reader version 9
