Southern Maine Round Robin

The Southern Maine Round Robin was held at SailMaine on Saturday. Six teams participated in the team race event: Cheverus and Portland and two teams from both Cape Elizabeth and Southern Maine. The weather was cool and foggy and the wind was light but that sailors were on the water by 11. Racing started after a slight delay while the wind died and then filled back in out of the south. We completed one round robin, given each team a chance to race every other team one. The sailors provided some good team racing and a strong start to the spring for the SailMaine high school program. Results were as follows:

2.         Cape Elizabeth 1         3-2
3.         Cheverus                       3-2
4.         Southern Maine 2         2-3
5.         Portland                         1-4
6.         Cape Elizabeth 2          1-4
