  • 420's42 Collegiate 420s. A sturdy, relatively high performance 14' double-handed racing dinghy utilized in our College, High School, and summer Junior Programs, as well as Maine Special Olympics Sailing. These boats have sails colored for Team Racing and are used for all High School and College racing events as well as summer Junior team race events.

  • 38 Optimists, an 8' single handed youth boat designed for basic sailing and racing. The Optimist has become the largest youth one-design class in the world, with currently around 180,000 Optimists sailed in almost every country on earth.




  • Frosty
  • 20 Cape Cod Frosties, a 6'4" single handed boat designed for Adultfrostbiting and used in our program for summer Junior Sailing. These boats were built and donated to SailMaine by the Compass Project.




  • J22 Sailing
  • 12 J/22s, a 22' Keelboat, designed for 4 sailors, but capable of being sailed by 2 to 5, they are perfect for both our learn to sail and learn to race activities.



  • 2 Sea Sprite 22s, a great basic keelboat for adult learners.
