Robb Kirchner
2008 Summer Instructor
Robb Kirchner has been sailing on Casco Bay for almost a decade. He learned to sail when attending the Portland Parks and Recreation Summer Sailing program at age ten. He continued his summer sailing lessons at SailMaine when it was founded. He usually sails in 420s, but can occasionally be seen in Lasers, Ynglings, and is a crew on big-boats. He was a member of the Portland High School Sailing Team for six seasons, beginning his sophomore year. He was a captain of the team this past year. Robb worked as a volunteer at SailMaine in the summer of 2006. Robb has taught sailing to Beginner Frostie sailors and is now excited to be working with Intermediate Optimist and 420 sailors. Robb will be a freshman at St. Mary’s College of Maryland this fall.
